About Us

Juhudi Children's Club is a non - profit, non - partisan membership organization promoting alternative learning concepts and running out of class learning programmes. We aim through our programmes to inspire, delight and challenge children to take charge and engage in activities that help them understand, influence and shape their environment and the world.

How we Started

Started in 1998, Juhudi Children's Club has visited all the main National Parks, in an extensive conservation programmes to appreciate our National and Natural resources, understand and participate the various conservation efforts and initiatives. We have planted over 25,000 seedlings over these years in various sites including Kikuyu Springs, the fourth source of drinking water for Nairobi and one of the catchments for Nairobi River, Amboseli National Park in an ongoing initiative to re-afforestate the park in partnership with the Amboseli Serena Lodge, Hells Gate National Park and at the Kijabe Forest off old Naivasha road - our new project site.

Awards Received

These efforts earned us the Bronze Award in 2004s Total Eco Challenge and invitations to make presentations in children's conferences in Canada , USA , Norway and Japan . Our Anglo Kenyan Arts in hospitals project a partnership between the Club and Architectural Mosaics in UK have seen mosaics created for Gertrude's Garden Children's Hospital, 2002, Royal London Hospital in 2003, Drug Rehabilitation Center, Mathare Mental Hospital 2004 and Addenbrooks Cambridge in August 2005.
